Pepitas aren't pumpkin seeds. Pepitas are from Styrian or Oil Seed hulless pumpkins. Lady Godiva, Naked Bear, and Kakai Hulless Pumpkin are their other names.

You may always swap pepitas for pumpkin seeds, but you should only do so in recipes that call for pepitas as a garnish.
