What It Means If Your Urine Is Orange?

Start Reading

Urine color changes can indicate health issues. Healthy, well-hydrated people have clear or straw-colored urine.

However, if your urine has been orange for several days, it may be time to consult a physician. Occasionally, abnormal urine hues are indicative of disease or other issues.

Why urine is orange?

Suppose you visit the restroom and notice that your urine is orange. The story is repeated several hours later and the following day. Why is that?

It is due to medications

Healthline says sulfasalazine, rifampin, laxatives, and other drugs can turn urine orange. Orange urine can be a sign of a serious condition or dehydration.

Or Pancreatic Cancer

If you have pancreatic cancer, you may experience jaundice, which can cause your urine to become a dark yellow or orange color, as explained by NHS Inform.

Other symptoms with this

Yellowing of the skin and eyes, nausea, vomiting, and changes in bowel habits may also be present in this scenario.

Supplements can cause it!

Vitamin C and other dietary supplements may also cause orange urine. Large doses of vitamin B2, or riboflavin, may cause this symptom as well.

Or due to foods!

This is also true of carrot juice and other highly pigmented foods and drinks. In such cases, modifying your diet should result in clearer urine.
